Ashurali Jo'rayev

Ashurali Jo'rayev belongs to the generation of writers who entered literature through journalism. He was born in 1956 in the Navoiy district of Navoiy region. After graduating from secondary school, he came to Tashkent and began his working career at the "Tashselmash" factory.

In 1974-1978, he studied at the Tashkent State Institute of Culture.

While studying, from 1976 onwards, he worked as an educator in the evening department of the Tashkent Technological College. Later, until 1983, he worked at the same college as a teacher and master of vocational training.

Finally, from 1983 to 1996, he served as the department head at the weekly "O'zbekiston adabiyoti va san'ati". In 1996, he became an advisor to the Office of the President of the Republic. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the "Mushtum" magazine.
